Broadband Internet access has improved substantially with the rapid development of technology in recent years. From the earliest days of dial-up Internet, to ADSL in previous years, and now to fibre-optic communication, Internet speeds and bandwidth have increased by orders of magnitude. At the same time, with regards to Internet Service Provider and its business operation, broadband has become a competitive market. Today, PON begins to vigorously popularize in the technology transition period. Nevertheless, problems such as using PON or carrying out project planning would potentially be faced. Therefore, the connections based on PON and project planning aim to survey and design a set of standards derived through theoretical analysis and tests.In regards to PON’s role in this project, there are several keys to success. Some of these include choosing the appropriate connections and a good planning strategy. By analyzing PON and accessing four different types of PON project, this paper has not only found the methods to connect in different scenarios but also developed a set of strategies. This new set of strategies is applicable in general. In particular, it is most applicable to those industries that are similar to Tianjin Tie Tong. This paper has greatly provided guidance to the designers of the PON planning, and increased the productivity of Tianjin Tie Tong.
