The existing marine training mostly applies physical marine simulator and automation ma-rine room, which are expensive to build and maintain. Software operation platform based on vir-tual reality overcomes the shortcomings in physical equipments operation. Currently the equip-ments virtual operation software are mostly based on stand-alone software, long develop periodand high maintain price, learners could only take practice in specified training room. This paper researches the designing and implement of B/S structure equipments virtual op-eration platform based on Web technology, applying the concept of web configuration. Com-pared with standalone, B/S structure has many advantages, as no maintain on client side, moresafety, be ready for training learners all time and places through internet. This platform applies third part ActiveX develop tool for designing the controls of shipequipments and meters, simulating appearance and interaction functions. The man-machine in-terface, operation logic code and evaluation principles are designed on stand-alone windowsforms environment, which are then translated to Web pages by specified code converter.Based on this platform, two equipments operation systems are build, the air compress sys-tem and auxiliary boiler system. The ActiveX control library, man machine interface, businessmodel and evaluation principles are designed.Ship equipment virtual operation platform based on web configuration technology couldmeet the necessary of seamen training and evaluation online, suit to small and middle scale sea-men training organizations for teaching, also suit to evaluation organizations to evaluate seamenby uniformed standard.
