The general public takes active part in a variety of sporting activities and physicalexercises. which leads to the vigorous development of sports industry and sportseconomic market. The stadiums and gyms are an important part of sports industry. Withthe increase of the demand for social service, the existing operation and managementsystem of stadiums and gyms is hard to meet the demand of operation and managementof the current stadiums and gyms, which has seriously affected the economicperformance and operation of the stadiums and gyms. In view of this increasing demand, the current manual operation must be replaced with automatic and cyberized operation. Therefore, the development of an informational system based on ASP.NET which canmeet the needs of operation and management of the stadiums and gyms of ouruniversity has a practical significance for our stadiums and gyms to meet the increasingdemands of social service, operation, maintenance and management. The research subject is focused on the data integration and date sharing service ofregular operation and management in the gym management center of ChengduUniversity of Information Technology (CUIT). With the work on the management ofsports facilities, gym operation, and information release, we expect the new system toimprove the efficiency and effect of operation and management of the gyms on twocampuses of CUIT by reducing the time and distance of management, lowering themanagement cost, and achieving flat management. In the design and development of the system, we adopt the target-oriented concept.UML is used in the analysis of the system, and target-oriented C#language is used tofulfill the program. B/S system structure is adopted in order to simplify the system, reduce the system maintenance cost, and improve the flexibility of the system.“Thesimple three-layer structure” is used in order to enhance the system security, whichachieves the separation of presentation layer, business logic layer, and data access layer. In order to enhance the data processing ability of the system and ensure the data security,we use SQL Server2005database management system in building database, which canbe efficiently integrated with ASP.NET program. This thesis elaborated on the research background and current situation of thedevelopment and design of operation and management system of stadiums and gyms, and gave a detailed introduction of the key technology to realize it and a description ofthe whole development process including demand analysis, system design, and therealization. The development and application of operation and management system ofstadiums and gyms not only raised the working efficiency but also reenergized themanagement work. As an intellectual office platform, the operation and managementsystem of stadiums and gyms is of great help to quickly and accurately collect andconvey related data, give a real-time supervision of the operation of the stadiums andgyms, and reduce the extra cost brought by traditional management. This system is alsohelpful to adjust and organize the management promptly, meet partners’ needsefficiently without delay, and immediately adapt to consumers’ demands. It can alsohelp to improve the utilization of facilities and equipments in the stadiums and gyms, revitalize the tangible sports assets, and eventually promote the operation andmanagement efficiency and level of executive board. With the further improvement and development of the system, the researchorientation will be set on how to increase the online service and realize the real-timeinteraction with common users, and how to use Ajax technology to realize local update, promote consumers’ experience, and link up with the campus card system.
