With the coming of informational age, iron and steel enterprises in order to make themselves invincible in the competition, had to take advanced control technology, network technology, communication technology to increase productivity. To enable computers to replace human beings to control the production and achieve automation. PCS(process control system)as the middle bridge between automation PLC and production management MES. PCS can collect various data in the production process, monitor the various processes which are controlled, compute model, provide a variety of set to L1,display the result of process.The famous computer process control system in the steel. Such as process control systems cut line, heat treatment line process control system,Refining(LF,RH,CAS) process control system.This paper introduces raw material yard process control system and model computing, new technology, function which are used in the first process of iron and steel enterprises.The main function of raw material yard L2 includes stocking management,outbound management, stocktaking management, inventory management, blending management, quality management, equipment management, report management, system management, and the interface with other systems.Aim at the low operating efficiency of raw material yard in the L2,our group using the latest computer software technology developed a L2 management system; First,the paper focuses on the implementation of L2 with other systems:using IFIX data acquisition software which supports OPC standard finishes the automatic collection of data from Siemens PLC (L1),using Rockwell's RSSQL finishes the data captured read back to the the ORACLE database of L2.using DBLINK communication technology finish the communication with Kingdee K3 system. To ensure the independence and security of system, proposed a new communication type of systems:message communication, this kind of communication is not restricted by database, hardware and other conditions, can meet the requirements of communication between systems.Second, as a result of the current complexity and can not fully take into account the cost of all materials of mix ingredients, introducing one of the latest optimization of mixing ingredients:simple algorithm, and using standard deviation method evaluate the mixing effect, this algorithm was proved in theory not only meet the production, and cost savings.Last, the paper introduces the design of the reuse of software modules, the system's main functions, the system error and the solving solutions; papers put forward own attitude on innovations and the direction of the project improve; the summary and prospect are given in this paper.
