Nowadays,with the bloom of the mobile-Internet industry, mobile portable devicesis no longer a communication tool in the traditional sense, but evolved into a variety ofsmart mobile terminal represented by mobile phone, towards the direction ofmulti-fusion development. However, the mobile terminal software service platformsemerged at the time when the mobile terminal facing a sea of troubles on themulti-fusion road. As the kind of new PC-management software designed for thecurrently popular mobile platform Android and the most widely used desktop Windows,the mobile software service platform realized Android devices’ management andoperation by PC, and provides both public services and personalized services by takingadvantage of server resources.The thesis focuses on the SMS management in mobile terminal software platform,which includes the work of personal information management of the traditional sense. Ithas a certain research value and significant existence, for being the only telephonyapplication related to wireless communication in the entire platform. The basicpeer-to-peer SMS between PC subsystem PhonePartner and mobile terminal subsystemPhoneAgent are all designed and implemented after analysis of similar software andinvestigation into user demands for SMS.SMS management in the mobile terminal software service platform covers not onlyresearch on related technologies of the session model and the business functions, butalso design and implementation of system. First of all, owing to TCP connection on astable and efficient socket communication, and general data-transfer format XML withgood scalability and flexibility, a session model for reliably real-time interaction wasachieved, and it well provides an available solution to operation and management ofSMS on the Android device by PC. Subsequently, in reference to the principle ofmessage mechanism, which is used to communication among Android components andAndroid threads, synchronous message distribution and handling in PC subsystem isdesigned and implemented by the signal and slot mechanism exclusively for Qt.Meanwhile, asynchronous message distribution and handling is realized in mobile terminal subsystem through message loop and message handling in Android. In theprocess of the implementation of system, ContentProvider, a special way of data sharingamong Android applications, helped to achieve efficient and safe access to the Androidsystem database files. According to common database fields of short message andcontact, well-formed data structures are designed, which are suitable for both theapplication scenario and UI controls. After study of the RIL (Radio Interface Layer) ofAndroid, there was further analysis on the principle and processes of short messages’sending and receiving in Android system. Finally, sending and receiving of shortmessages on the application layer were achieved, and operations of SMS records wereproved safe and reliable.
