| The channel transport vehicle system is special equipment developed for experiment requirements of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics, and it ships materials among stations (work area). The particularity of its applications requires the channel transport vehicle system with high reliability and stability. To make the channel transport vehicle system accurately deliver materials to certain station, it should correctly turn to the channel that the station locates in and finally stop at the station. To complete this task, the channel transport vehicle system should slow down at proper position before turn or reaching the station. Magnetic induction position sensor is a new kind of sensor developed to meet the above needs for localization.Magnetic induction position sensor is one of the parts of the sensor system of the channel transport vehicle system. The research requirements and targets of the magnetic induction position sensor are made clear based on the detailed analysis of the structure and features of the sensor system and the control system.The magnetic induction position sensor and the radio frequency identification (RFID) systems work similarly. Based on the RFID technology this paper determines the overall technology roadmap of the magnetic induction position sensor including that includes the transmission and reception of signal, the modulation of signal and the method of position coding.This paper finished the design of the hardware circuits of the magnetic induction position sensor. It uses200kHz sine wave as carrier, medium wave ferrite antennas as transmit and receive antennas, microcontroller ATmega8as the control chip. This reduces the complexity of the hardware circuits and increases the reliability.The software program includes position coding program and decoding program which are all written using assembly language. It has the advantage of higher real-time performance, which can make the sensor with high dynamic response speed. Compared with common RFID systems, the magnetic induction position sensor has a faster response speed more than2orders of magnitude. The experiment results show that the design of the hardware and software are feasible and achieve the desired goals. On this basis, this paper discusses the application of the magnetic induction position sensor in the channel transport vehicle system and proposes the tractor localization algorithm based on the magnetic induction position sensor, which can guarantee accurate positioning of the channel transport vehicle system. |
