As a traditional control method, PID controller is applied to many fields in industrialcontrol. However, the parameters tuning of PID controller always is a problem of intelligentcontrol research. This paper applies fuzzy controller to tune parameters of PID controller.Fuzzy PID controller has the advantages of high accuracy and excellent dynamicperformance, the method mainly based on SCM software. its real-time and anti-jammingperformance is not satisfactory. Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)is presented to realize ahardware fuzzy PID controller in this paper. It can overcome the above shortcomings of thesoftware implementation. ALTERA cooperation’s CYCLONEII series FPGA chip EP2C35isused as platform of design, fuzzy and PID algorithm is realized on it as hardware. Softwareplatform is ALTERA cooperation’s QUARTUS II9.0. Code schematic diagram input, compile,functional simulation, wiring, and succession simulation is carried on the platform. Hardwarecircuit design, debugging and confirmation are finished, and the analysis is carried on finally.In order to test the control effect of fuzzy PID controller, the paper design a idealtemperature control system. The main functions of this system are: Firstly, analog signalspre-process; Second, carrying on fuzzy processing to input value, and finishing parameters fuzzytuning of PID controller; Third, according to setting of initial parameters and increment of threeparameters, the PID control operation is completed base on the concept of pipelining; Fourth,finish real time controlling on controlled object.
