In recent years, with the continuously improved of the degree of marketization in ourcountry; the degree of marketization of publishing is also improved. Since the governmentopened the authority of the wholesale and retail of book, with the overwhelming force whichfrom internal and external, the competition of China’s publishing industry is more and morefierce. The common problems which deserved to consider about between all the press is howto survive and develop in such an environment which the system reform was completed andthe electronic commerce is spring up.BSD press belongs to the domestic central press, it is also a university press. In July2007,BSD press officially registered for an enterprise as a legal person. It completed thetransformation from institution to enterprise. Though BSD press is developing rapidly, it alsoexposed many problems in the fact of distribution channel creation and management. Forexample, the chaotic of management customers, the channel conflict and other issues. The keyproblem which Beijing normal university press faced is how to manage the distributionchannel and expand Market Share.This paper firstly introduced the whole situation of the publishing industry in our countryat present which from the overall market and marketing. Then, we analysis the existingproblems on distribution channel of the BSD press. At last, try to discuss and make someinnovative distribution channel strategy to help the development of BSD press.
