Nowadays, the education has got its high-speed progress with great supports from the nation. And thegolden time comes to higher vocational education, the goal of which is to cultivate more talents with goodskills of pratical application. However, the traditional administrative system cannot satisfy needs ofinstitutional development and social requests. It is very time to design and implement a thoroughmanagement information system for institutional administration so that information received in dailyadministration could be responded in time.With the background of the research on characteristics of higher vocational education, this thesis ispresenting the design and implementation of management information system, the research target of whichis that of GUANGDONG FOOD AND DRUG VOCATIONAL COLLEGE. It gives thorough analysis onvarious needs of the system and designs the system with aspects to integrity structure, database, and frontwindow. Finally, it shows the implementation procedure under the design requests of the system.The network of the system is designed based on the optimization of B/S networks and database SQLSevrer2000. We can let the system work in safety and swift anywhere if we have the WWW network.In the design and realization process used computer network technology, databasetechnology, software engineering technology, etc, designed a higher vocational collegestudents management information system, solve the original exist in the management of studentsof the efficiency is low, the data processing, information feedback multifarious difficult to a series ofproblems. It is evident that the system which is not only running reliablybut also user friendly andeasily operated improves the efficiency of management and ensures the accuracy of information.
