On The Analysis And Design Of The Models And Methods For College Students’ Course-choosing System

With the continuous development of college teaching reform, more and more colleges gradually carry out the credit system in which the course-choosing system is the basic part. However, there are various problems in the present one, for instance, lack of process control and lack of fairness in the course-choosing. Therefore, a very important criterion to judge whether the course-choosing system is superior depends on whether it shows fairness, real-time, rationality and whether it can provide the result in a short time.In order to solve the problems in the course-choosing, the paper talks about the analysis and design on the basis of college students’course-choosing algorithm. At first, I analyzed the basic theories of course-choosing algorithm and made a deep study and conclusion on the existing course-choosing algorithms. In addition, I improved the voluntary random screening algorithms which are currently used. At last, I put forward the improved version of voluntary random screening algorithms based on priority. The purpose is to find out an algorithm which can both make full use of the current teaching materials and largely embody students’initiative in course-choosing.The improved version of voluntary random screening algorithms based on priority overcame the shortcoming in current ones which only focus on one factor. It put several factors which have an influence on course-choosing into consideration and eventually led to the priority of course-choosing on which the result is based. This algorithm made the fairness, real-time, and rationality possible and I think it is bound to mobilize the enthusiasm of students and of course it is helpful for teachers to be individualized in teaching and benefit the cultivation of talents.The course-choosing system is based on the technology of ASP, B/S structure, and SQL Server2000database. It realized in the end the course-choosing system mentioned in the thesis under the relevant developing environment by adopting the relevant programming and database technology and furthermore it proved the algorithm effective and feasible in the actual use.
