Along with the rapid development of the computer technology and the automation technology, as well as some advanced control theory are applicated and promoted, in the industrial control the use of advanced control and optimization techniques have become the necessary of the safe production and the improving of the production efficiency. Generalized predictive control based on the minimum variance control using the traditional model, it included smaller number of the parameters, this will help to the on-line parameter estimation and the realized of the daptive control, moreover, generalized predictive control strategy has been gained a lot of successful application in the industry control.The heating furnace is an important heating equipment in the oil、 chemical industry, it also is the biggest energy consumption device. so in the design of the control system of the heating furnace, achieving the product process requirement and satisfy the premise of the product quality, improving the heating furnace control precision, realize the heating furnace economic combustion and optimization is help to the reduce production costs. At the same time, realize the sufficient combustion of the fuel, it will help to reduce the emission of the harmful gas, achieves the purpose of reducing the emission this will be of great significance to the social benefits.This article take the Dushanzi refinery hydrocracking furnace as the object, using self-tuning generalized predictive control to control the heating furnace outlet temperature and gas pressure, flow, achieving a good control effect, with the original control strategy control results compared with the control strategy, the new exit temperature, gas valve, gas pressure fluctuations decrease. At the same time, based on the above control, for heating furnace control system to combustion optimization, According to the actual structure of heating furnace and the combustion of the fuel, analyzes and designs the corresponding combustion optimization scheme, using balancing method on thermal efficiency calculation, implementation of flue gas oxygen content and the exhaust gas temperature optimal control, reduce the fuel waste, improves the thermal efficiency of the heating furnace.
