Study Of The Public Library RFID Application

With the increasing attention on the introduction and development of the Internet of Things technology in our country.The government attaches great importance to this technology. Once,RFID technology was included in the "863"program of the Ministry of Science and Technology during the "Eleventh Five-Year" period.In China much importance has been attached to RFID technology by more and more libraries.The application and innovation of RFID technology in the library, which is the development trend of the modern library in the future,and is an important technical means of change the library service and reform the literature management mode.Meanwhile, RFID’s application in public library will have a broad application and development prospects.Currently,in most public library, the RFID’s application was limited to the level of general application and the basic functionality. While, the potential applications of RFID does not fully tapped, this paper attempts to explore and study the potential application of RFID.This thesis consists of six chapters. By using the theoretical,empirical, questionnaire, expert interviews analysis. Firstly, this thesis gives a breif account of RFID technology and its funtioning principle, Technology standard, Frequency and other related theory, uses the experiences of library RFID technology both at home and abroad for a reference. Secondly, from the general application and advanced applications two aspects to analyzes the value of RFID technology in public libraries application. Finally, reference to the experience and inspiration of the RFID in foreign libraries application,and reference to the Changning Distinct Library’s practical RFID application situation and problems,linking the theory with the practice, give the feasible suggestions and the appropriate strategy.
