Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)is widely used increasingly, especially in the Internet of Things plays an important role.RFID uses non-contact automatic identification technology to achieve the identification of items.Because the communications between tags and readers use wireless channel,it is vulnerable to eavesdrop, tamper and forge. Therefore, the security and privacy issues are so serious that they become bottlenecks in RFID applications.During the life of an RFID tag,its owner often changes. So,the design of RFID tag ownership transfer protocol has become an important direction of academic research. The cost of RFID tags is relatively small, the calculation and storage capacity is limited, many traditional cryptographic algorithms with complex computation can not be directly applied to the RFID system. Therefore, how to design a low cost and enough security strength of the RFID tag ownership transfer protocol is of great significance.Firstly,by considering the characteristics and security requirements of RFID system,an RFID single tag ownership transfer protocol based on quadratic residue is designed. In this protocol it is not necessary that the old reader leaves the authentication area. And BAN logic is used to prove the security of the protocol,AVISPA tools are used to verify the security of the protocol. The protocol not only achieves the secure transfer of label ownership, but also effectively reduces the amount of tag's computation and occupied resources,it is suited for resource-constrained RFID systems better.Secondly,in order to reduce the complexity of the protocol,an improved RFID single tag ownership transfer protocol based on quadratic residue is proposed. In the protocol, the quadratic residue based cryptographic algorithm is used to encrypt communication message, which ensures the secure transfer of the label ownership. The analysis with BAN logic and validation of the AVISPA tool show that the proposed protocol is secure and effective. Finally,a quatratic residue based RFID group tags ownership transfer protocol is designed so that the ownerships of a group of tags can be transferred at the same time.In thisprotocol, the quatratic residue based encryption and symmetric encryption algorithms are used to ensure that the ownership of the group tags is securely transferred. The security analysis of the protocol shows that the proposed protocol is secure and effective.
