Putting forward Network on chip is in order to make up for the inadequacy of bus communication. Since the bus communication occurs can be used for information transmission bandwidth is low, and very difficult to once again extend. Network on chip makes up this deficiency, NOC is characterized by the use of some of the more regular structure. The simple wiring and global easier to synchronize; the advantage of NOC is that SOC power reduce and the manufacturing cost is reduced; SOC have improved properties; SOC listed in less time at the same time also makes it the design risk be reduced.NOC use of computer network technology and the method to carry out the design, but the computer network is distributed in different positions, in NOC, all resource node and switching nodes must be confined within a chip, so the computer network of many things in the NOC does not apply, NOC have the following properties.The work of this paper is divided into the following several points:1. Network on chip several key technologies were summarized research, including topology, routing algorithm, route structure, power estimation, performance analysis, after that, the network on chip research has made a greater understanding and concern, and for each parameter study status analysis.2. On the topology of the network are explored, and in the exploration of several classical topology structure, put forward two kinds of new topological graph, XC-Mesh topology topology and GP4XC-Mesh topology, by increasing the number of long lines, making the network delay time becomes small, network communication speed more quickly. While the GP4topology by the addition of long line and at each router to connect up to4IP modules, not only makes the communication convenient, delay is shortened, and the4module between the internal communication becomes more convenient.3. The network topology design for different topology, we respectively designed a new routing algorithm, and in NIRGAM to do simulation, to determine which of the two can reduce the delay and increase the throughput of the network, improve network various aspects ability.
