The vehicle driving simulator is a simulated car running performance, so that users get the real car driving experience simulation equipment, mainly for the automotive research and development, traffic safety, driving training and so on.The vehicle driving simulator control system includes a pedal, gear and other manipulation of parts of the state acquisition module, vehicle instrumentation and it’s control module, the steering wheel back to the positive torque control module.The control system requires real-time access to the data driving maneuvers, realize the instrument and the returnability of the steering wheel torque control. The control system is an important foundation for the user and the simulation system interact, which directly affects the real-time and realism of the simulator.On the basis of the analysis of the driver of the vehicle simulator control system requirement, design, develop a set of MCU control system based on C8051F series.The control system to achieve all kinds of manipulation of real-time movement of data collection, data front-end processing, instrument control, and steering wheel aligning torque control and other functions. Main work of the paper are as follows:1. Research of vehicle driving simulator system structure, on which the control system requirements were analyzed in detail.The control system is divided into data acquisition and driving control, On this basis, select MCU and has carried on the system overall design.2. The design of the hardware circuit of the system, including the MCU peripheral circuit, the signal conditioning circuits, the instrument driving circuit, the returnability of the steering wheel motor drive circuit, the communication circuit, etc... Through the comparison of different types of low-pass filter characteristic, the performance of different methods for isolation of the analog signal, select two order Butterworth filter design, HCNR200linear optocoupJer design of analog signal conditioning circuit; realizes the micro stepping motor drive gauge pointer; design of H bridge circuit drives the returnability of the steering wheel motor: Comparison of various communication methods, to realize RS-232, RS-485two communication circuit. Completion of the above schematic circuit design, PCB board production and debugging.3. Design of MCU software system. Completed the development of data acquisition, communications, instrument control module and host computer communication module. Software and hardware joint debugging.4. The design, development of the control system apply in the vehicle driving simulator system. According to interferences occurring in application, design a variety of optimization scheme and experiments were carried out, make the problem has been well solved.Through the vehicle driving simulator on the actual test, it is proved that the system achieves the design goal, it can realize real-time data acquisition, driving control and other functions, with higher accuracy, stable and reliable, do not occupy the host computer resources etc.
