In the era of knowledge Updated so quickly, education has been seenas the lifeblood of the country’s development in the future. TV educationchannel is treated as the bearer of education spreading, with theresponsibility for more widespread dissemination of educational idea,cultural and scientific knowledge, and universal education. It is a prioritythat how to make use of the educational channel resources to make agreater contribution to society. Specialization trend in the development ofthe channel, since the date of birth is the professional channel, educationchannel has a unique advantage and a clear development direction. But inreality the process of operation, the macroscopic environment ofeducational channel has large problem, limiting the development of theeducational channel as specialized channels, obstructing educationchannel follow the education location and lacking of competitiveness inthe market. The author draws lessons from the experience that Westerneducation channels operating in the public television system, combinedwith China’s national conditions, and show suggestion of themacro-reforms of the educational channel, Meanwhile, the author use theaudience based theory on the specific programs produced and broadcastfor educational channel positioning strategy, with development of theirsocial responsibility, and make contributions to our education.
