In the circuit design, we can find that many devices and circuit performance and parameters will change with the manufacturing process, the power supply voltage, environmental temperature changes, the problem in the circuit design is the basic problem which must be considered. This instability increase the complexity and cost of the circuit design. Thus, we must design the circuit, so that the design of the change of the circuit performance should be in a allow range in the designated PVT change range. That is the robustness of the circuit design.This topic regards the basic module band gap benchmark source of integrated circuit and operational amplifier as the research object, and focus on the band gap benchmark source and op-amp principle of work, the traditional circuit structure defects existing, thus puts forward new architecture, such as the frequency compensation and the curvature correction, to realize the robust design. And through the feasibility and advantage which the experimental design results verified, making the change of the circuit performance be in a allow range in the designated PVT change range.This article is to study from the following several aspects:firstly, analysis of the market potential and important meaning of the analog circuits of robust; Secondly, the process of the many factors caused deviation, and different process parameters and different temperature variations of the existence, the influence on the components and performance of the whole circuit. Thirdly, through detailed analysis of the band gap benchmark source and the working principle of operational amplifier, the shortcomings of the traditional circuit, this paper proposes frequency compensation and curvature correction circuit improvement, thus to complete its robustness design. Fourthly, according to the front section of the theory analysis, design a practical circuit to verify the feasibility of the theory. Finally, simulating practical circuit, through the software hspice, cadence, to prove the feasibility, reliability and superiority of the design.
