With the expansion of Suzhou AMD, the manual management of FGS storageinventory model is no longer satisfy the requirements of AMD. There is an urgent need fora simple inventory management system to match the existing manufacturing executionsystem and enterprise resource planning system for daily operation.Based on the bluetooth wireless scanning gun and barcode recognition technology, this thesis presents a general scheme of the inventory management system. The mainobjectives of this system are that the development cost can be reduced and the efficiencycan be improved via using the bar code technology to collect data, and applying thewireless communication technology to transmit real-time data. The specificimplementation methods are as follows: the Visual Studio2010is employed to create aWPF application for UI design, the C/S model is utilized to develop system, the C#.NET isadopted to achieve each functional module, the SQL Server2005is used to build thebackground database to store data, the NHibernate technology is applied to connectdifferent database system together, such as oracle and SQL server, and the POS FOR.NETis used to control and manage the bar code scanner. The basic framework of the system consists of four functional modules, which areused to combine three databases together. The user management module, connecting withthe E-Office database, standardizes the user permissions. General user can gain thepermission of system operation, and the administrator can register new users. The productinformation module, connecting with the camstar database, can read the information ofeach batch of good and reject units in MES system, and map the related information of theselected batch into memory of local computer for examination. The inventory operationmodule, connecting with the inventory database, manages the scanning gun, barcodescanning and cycle count. The barcode scanning can save the scanning information intodatabase. The statistical reporting module can generate cycle count report for archiving andprinting. This system is well suitable to the practical situation of the AMD and the expectedobjectives are achieved with many advantages including high efficiency, fast response, accuracy, user-friendly, easy use and less demanding on the operator’s computer level.
