Along with the development of electronic technology and the universal application of network, the digital age has been approaching quietly. The digital age has brought great convenience to the human production and life, but also the intensification of some of the problems and contradictions. In the contrary to traditional information storage and transmission mode, the digitization of information brings unprecedented convince and efficiency to knowledge dissemination, sharing and usage, in the meanwhile, it leads to the related problem of digital intellectual property protection. In particular, with the maturing of the digital publishing industry, copyright protection of digital content has increasingly become the bottleneck, which is blocking the healthy development of the digital publishing industry.This article attempts to explore the ways and means of copyright protection for digital video and audio content on the basis of previous research. The main contents included:first, the construction of the digital copyright protection system model, including digital content packaging model and license model; second, license processing, including request, generation, safe handling, transmission, parsing and validation, as well as local secure storage; third, access control, mainly involving the extraction and update of the local license, and the using control model of digital content; fourth, license tracking, that is, when content use behavior occurs, a certain way is taken to send the license tracing information back to the license server; last, the design and implementation of the video and audio copyright protection system, which is composed by license server, content packaging tools, content player and content server.Taking the aims into consideration, in this article, the status the current development and the key technology of digital copyright protection is summarized; the associated packaging model and separate packaging model of digital content is analyzed; then, a comprehensive packaging model of digital content is proposed, the information model of license is established, which solves the problem of "one license related to many contents"; the interaction protocol of the digital copyright protection system is analyzed; and the access control of the packaged content usage at the client is defined; the license processing in the digital copyright protection system is analyzed in details; then, the analysis and design of the video and audio copyright protection system is done, and finally, the system is implemented and tested.This article is based on the pervious researches and summaries, however, no lack of novelty:a comprehensive packaging model of digital content is proposed, which makes the digital packaging is more flexible; a license set is designed to contain licenses, which solves the problem of "one license related to many contents"; the interaction protocol of the digital copyright protection system is designed, and the structure of the interaction message is defined; the determination model of rights and its parsing process is constructed, which lead to the copy protection; the license process of the digital copyright protection system is analyzed in a detailed way, the local storage and management process of licenses is constructed, which solved the security issues of a local license; license tracking is added to the system, laid the foundation for the license audit; the key functions of the system is separated into a dynamic link library, making the second development of the system become possible.
