Scientific cooperation has great significance for the production of new scientific knowledge, the combination of innovative ideas, the achievement of their research goals, and the improvement of the level of scientific research and quality. Thesises’ co-authoring is an important means of the scientific research cooperation. Analyzing the networks of co-authored thesises and strengthening the communication and cooperration of the scientific researchers have become the focus nowdays.In this paper, the anthor use the social network analysis (SNA) as a research method, take the department of Chemistry of Tianjin Normal University as case study, gather the data of papers of the department of Chemistry which has published in SCI last decade, establish the co-relation network. And then, the author use the social network analysis tools to deep research analysis from the network profiles, the characteristic parameters, the network characteristics of the tripartite face of the co-network. Finally, the author selecte benchmark unit of Tianjin Normal University, College of Chemistry and co-network structural characteristics, and make the recommends of the cooperation of researchers.Specific analysis including output trends in the paper, together with the degree of the scale of cooperation, the forms of cooperation, the status of cooperation, cooperating countries and other basic data for statistical analysis; Ucinet and Netdraw which social network analysis softwares analyze the co-network’s characteristics of centrality, the core-periphery structure, the average path length and diameter, clustering coefficient, network density, degree and degree distribution of the network characteristic parameters, as well as small-world and scale-free characteristics of judgment. At the same time, combining with the actual situation, Tianjin Normal University, School of chemical research co-authored an explanation of each indicator.The analysis showed that the Tianjin Normal University, College of Chemistry’s research co-network phenomenon. The co-network size is stable, and the cooperated countries are developed countries; overall co-network as a loose network-based cooperation to the organization, the status of cooperation dominant; links between groups are very Ioose; only a small part of the group’s internal and external have a close connection. Co-network has small world properties and scale-free property; Tianjin Normal University, College of Chemistry, which has lower level of international cooperation, and the leading co-operation is weak. So, the author propose the need to train the core researchers, to increase the input of scientific research and exchange, and to enhance cooperation between the team cooperation.The purpose of this paper is to better understand the cooperation of the science faculty of Tianjin Normal University, College of Chemistry status quo,and finally from the perspective of improving the network structure to propose the improvement methods of the innovation capacity of the network, the research collaboration, and esearch team formation etc. We believe that the conclusions of this paper have some universal significance in the chemistry departmenf of domestic universities.
