An Empirical Research On The Relationship Between User’s Information Expectation And Information Quality Under Network Environment

Under network environment, information has become an indispensable element of social production. In this context, user’s information concept and consumption has changed from passive acceptance of information service into active selection information and interaction. Along with the increase of user’s personalized consciousness, sites and systems pursuit sustained competitive advantage by providing high quality information to satisfy the information demand and expectation of users. Therefore, enterprises provide high standard information and services from the user perspective, has become a new research topic. In this view, this article verified the relationship of information expectation and information quality through empirical studies, to hope that websites will take the user as the center to improve the quality of products and services,and improve information quality and service level.First,this paper analysed the relationships and changing forms of user’s information demand and information expectation from the status of user’s information demand and information expectation, and we get three basic dimensions of information expectation through factor analysis by SPSS17.0:information expression expectation dimension, information acquisition expectation dimension and information content expectation dimension,which provide data and evidence for the perspective study of information quality evaluation system in the view of user’s expectation.Second, this article build a relationship model of user’s information expectation and information quality based on literature studies, and Proposed4study hypotheses and9secondary hypotheses. Besides, I validated the relationship by structural equation model, and calculated the coefficient between variables by AMOS7.0. And then we got a interactional relation between information expectation and information quality, confirmed that information demand has a significant positive effect for information expectation, information expectation have a positive effect on the information quality and compared difference, and the compared difference have a positive influence on information quality.Finally, we made some pointed recommendations based on their influencing weights and the relationship of user’s information expectation and information quality for the improvement of information quality, which provide feasible research ideas and research methods for future information quality evaluation and management research.
