Accompanied with the rapid development of automobile industry and the number of cars is increasing year by year,though people can enjoy the convenient of car,we also encountered various ploblem, such as car theft and damage. Although automobile manufacturers had attached great importance to the safety of the vehicle in the parking state, and car security equipment is also developed rapidly, but due to the passivity of the traditional automobile security devices, the negligence of the owners, as well as inadequate monitoring, and many other reasons caused the frequent phenomenon of car theft. The increasing of car theft cases not only increased the social instability, but also brought great loss to the owners. In this paper, fully studied the car security development trend at home and abroad, put forward a kind of new auto monitoring system. The program use the infrared sensor module to detected someone who close to car, and then trigger core chip to control the camera acquisition vehicle surrounding image, combined with data collected by the GPS receiver module, record the vehicle information. The collected data will be transmitted to the computer by wireless module, then the computer process the data and display them on computer on real time. People use it to judge whether the vehicle is illegal damage or steal. In addition to the above functions, the system also has the advantages of low power consumption, low cost, the small size, convenient to install and so on. This program is also improvement some deficiencies which exist in the traditional automobile security systems, to promote this system extension in the field of automobile security.Through the analysis of the existing electronic chip market, choose hardware products for the program. Finally the core control chip using STM32F103VET6chip, image sensor using OV7620which is product by OminVision in United States, GPS receiver chip choose CXD2951produced by Sony Company as well as Sweden’s NORDIC nRF24L01chip, constitute the core of the hardware part of the system by the above-mentioned chip. This paper analyzes the hardware circuit and the characteristics of structure, gives a detailed connection between each module. In the aspect of software design, the paper analysis the design of the software driving, transplant the image compression program and document management systems program. Analysis of computer software programming design process, to achieve the image and GPS data in the computer and display at real time, gives process graph of the system software design.The subjects completed a vehicle monitoring system based on STM32, the testing results show that the system’s software and hardware is working properly, can achieve the basic task of project proposal and made certain research results.
