With the development of power system, the traditional work for electric powermeasuring equipment for cable laying work and fault finding has become plagued power linemaintenance personnel problems, failure will directly affect the administrative department ofelectric power of decision making and job scheduling. Wireless information technologydevelopment, the electric power equipment without laying cable can understand the operationstatus of the equipment, reduces the use of electricity and the power supply reliability of lowimpact, reducing the workload, reduce the safety risk, save manpower, material resources,social and economic benefits. This also makes the electric power equipment based on wirelesssensor monitoring and management system for power sector become the inevitable trend ofpower management.This paper describes the development of electric power system, domestic andinternational wireless information technology research status. On the basis of power systemequipment and measuring method of wireless sensor network technology, through research,discuss, according to research needs to develop the system structure and software andhardware design, establishment of project development needs of development environment,test environment and archive environment, based on wireless sensor power equipmentmonitoring and management system.The system is based on the Windows operating system, the C/S mode development,using the. NET framework and Acess2003desktop database for the development of thewhole monitoring system, to complete the function of the detailed design. In the design on thechoice of technology to the mature component, according to user needs, through adaptivemodifications of the assembly into the system to realize the system functions needed, improvethe function module interface performance, safety and feasibility. Through the Socketdatabase package, serial transmission module XML, page graphical data display moduledesign is based on the component development thought. The system of computer operationinterface simple. Easy to use. Realization of data collection, analysis, query and data displayfunction. Equipment and current running status analysis, for diagnostic equipment defects to provide accurate data, for the better development of condition-based maintenance of electricequipment to provide technical support.Wireless sensor network technology applied to the power system parameter measurement,its most outstanding advantage is compared with the traditional measuring equipment forcable laying work, which greatly simplifies the installation process. Through the arrangementof in the field of wireless nodes, forming a covering the entire power equipment field wirelessnetwork, with the network protocol of measurement equipment can join the network, torealize the measurement of wireless data transmission. In the wireless medium does not likewired medium for transmission lines and cables that carry out regular maintenance, caneffectively reduce the equipment maintenance cost, raise economic benefits.
