Our people’s living standards increased fastly. The car has become the main means oftransport for people. More and more people note the importance of traffic safety. Lampsplay a important role in the car. At night, effective lighting of the lamp provide a safedriving environment for the driver; when the car will change the driving state (such asturning), striking semaphores can prompt the warning for other vehicles and pedestrians inadvance and reduce traffic accidents. Therefore, the quality of the lamp is directly related tothe safety of the vehicle. In the past, the lamps were made in the foreign companies. Lampstandard is developed by foreign country. But with the rapid development of China’sscience and technology, the domestic companies already have the technology of theself-manufacturing lights. China has also developed our own standards. In lightsmanufacturing process, in order to ensure the quality of the lights, the lights detection is anecessary link. Foreign lights detection system based on different standards, and thedetection system is expensive. In the domestic only a few testing center has lights detectionsystem. If the lamp manufacturers wants to testing their lights, the product must be taken tothe nearest testing center to testing. And they must pay for testing. It not only increases themanufacturing cost of the lights and a waste of time. So the domestic lamp manufacturerswant to have their lights detection system. At the same time, it can identify problems,correct the problem, reduce costs, improve quality, and can promote the development of thelamp manufacturing technology.In this thesis, we developed lamp photometric characteristics detection system in theview of the situation.. Firstly we analysis lamp detection principle and national standardsand design detection methods. Because testing standards for each type of lamp is different,we need a large number of detection points to detect. If we distribute multiple probes. Notonly require person to layout them, and the price of sampling probe is high. It will result inincreased costs. Therefore, we only use one probe and turn the lights to achieve thedetection of each detection point. It controls the rotation of turntable on X and Y directionby the computer software and systems hardware. In accordance with the standard the system test the photometric characteristics of detection points automatically. The system isintelligent detection system and composed of optical, mechanical, electrical and computer.After testing, System is suitable for the automatic detection of a variety of lamps. It hasadvantages of fast measurement speed, ease of use, high precision test. It help lampmanufacturers to improve the economic benefits and production technology.
