A Study On Motocycle Headlight's Photometric Characteristics Testing Software System

The quality of a motorcycle's headlamp is very important for a safe driving, so lamps'safe testing is an emphasis factor in guarantee safe driving.This paper devise a motocycle headlight's photometric characteristics testing software system which is based on photoelectricity testing and digital image processing technology combining software engineering idea. The system make the best of matrix CCD camera's space sampling advantage, collecting illuminance image on testing screen which is irradiated by motorcycle headlights, then transform simulant image into digital image through image capturing card linking computer. The system let each pixel's gray-level statistics match corresponding illumination on the screen after space sampling based on the database when data colleted, and then compared with national standard. The method can determinant whether the production accord with the standard or not, and then analyse the unqualified production's fault.This paper's main work consists of three aspects.First of all, the paper devise a motocycle headlight's photometric characteristics testing software system combining engineering practice based on all kinds of lamp testing methods at home and abroad. The system can automatic realize some function include data capture, operation dispose, testing report print and fault analyse etc under computer control.The second, the paper build an intelligence model of motocycle headlight's photometric characteristics testing software system.The third, the paper devise an expert system for motocycle headlights'fault analyse which is based on image gray-level and screen illuminance testing, so it can analyse and judge motocycle headlights'fault. Consequently the system can provide technology support for manufacturer's lamp devise.The testing method offered by this paper has several advantages such as high measuring accuracy, fast speed, low cost, simple operation ect. The way not only measure illumination distribution full screen, but also record illumination image, so it can analyse, compare and mend all kinds of lamp models'photometric characteristics.
