Identification of radar pulse modulation characteristics is an important means of electronic intelligence reconnaissance system for the target signal recognition. It is these signals in the time domain, frequency and spatial separation of intercepted radar signal on the basis of pulse modulation feature recognition, feature extraction parameters to obtain vital intelligence information. Dense and complex signal environment of modern electronic warfare, radar are emerging of the new system, only to rely on the traditional signal characteristic parameters and the identification method, it is difficult to meet the requirements of modern electronic warfare signal recognition processing. Quickly and accurately identify complex system emitter signal is one of the focus on technical problems in the recognition processing of the radar signal.For radar pulse modulation feature recognition,this paper carried out the following:1. Research the common mathematical model of the radar signal and its characteristic parameters. Introduced commonly used in a variety of radar pulse modulation characteristics analysis of recognition algorithms and simulation analysis. Compared the effectiveness and accuracy of the various analysis of recognition algorithms under different conditions recognized by the signal modulation characteristics of the radar pulse.2. Focus on analysis of estimates based on instantaneous frequency pulse signal modulation characteristics analysis of the identification method. Pulse modulation feature recognition with the same pulse width, similar to the pulse described word of different pulse modulation mode descriptor and automatic sorting signal.3. Focus on the identification algorithm for linear FM signal modulation characteristics. Line-ar FM signal ambiguity function of the energy distribution of the characteristics of a fast recogni-tion algorithm based on the ambiguity function of energy dichotomy of linear FM signal modulation characteristics, and confirmed the effectiveness of the algorithm through simulation.
