In modern electronic war (EW), the modulation recognition for Pulse Radar signal is the important task and key link of Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) and Electronic Support Measure (ESM). The recognition results provide intelligence support for Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) and Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM), influence and even decide the success of EW.This thesis begins with the definition and process of the modulation recognition for radar signal and mainly focuses on the recognition method of several radar signals (NS, LFM, BPSK and QPSK). The recognition method includes traditional time-domain instantaneous autocorrelation, modulation-domain detecting at zero point, inverse spectrum technique in frequency field and the emergence time-frequency distribution, such as short-time Fourier, Wigner-Ville distribution and wavelet transform. All of these methods are simulated and them precision in different SNR are presented.The thesis briefly discusses automatic recognizing methods of modulation types based on statistic model, including the recognition criterion of the instantaneous autocorrelation waveform Fourier spectrum,instantaneous frequency and the wavelet transform coefficient Fourier spectrum.
