This research is a part of D-Partner service platform, which is from Faw QiMingInformation Technology Company. This paper demonstrates the design and implementationof vehicle monitoring system.With the globalization of economy, the increasingly fierce market competition, all tradesand professions in order to improve the competitiveness of their own and constantly expandthe scale of enterprises, number of cars can be greatly improved. At the same time, theenterprises of vehicle management has put forward higher requirements, long-term since, dueto various reasons, in most of Chinese enterprises and institutions of the vehicle managementis still rely on manual management phase. This management method not only consumesmanpower and material resources, and a lack of the theoretical guidance is not conducive tothe depth of the use of vehicles. In this case, how to better realize the vehicle management,improve vehicle utilization, realize the accurate, scientific scheduling of vehicles, has becomebrook no delay.Faw QiMing D-Partner service platform is based on the above background, D-Partner(Driver Partner) is a car networking platform for drivers developed by Faw QiMingInformation technology Company. D-Partner service platform has its great meaning on motorvehicles, IT, information service, internet and business. D-partner is a fully functioned systemthat covers almost every aspect of driving. It’s a key to the Car Networking Ages.This system include vehicle center, central server, monitoring terminal and informationcircuit. A terminal can track vehicle location and raise alarming. Central server can collect allthe information from terminals. GPS, GPRS and GIS are the main techniques in this system.This paper covers the design and implementation of central monitoring system.This system is a C/S structure software. We use the following techniques:PowerDesigner and VISIO for requirements analysis and design, SQL Server2000for dbservice, C++under Visual Studio2005IDE, MapX5.0for displaying electronic map,Google’s Protocolbuffer for data transmission. Protocolbuffer is the best option for this systembecause it’s efficient&concise. This system has realized multiple ways to vehicle monitoring, the real-time monitoringof vehicles is the science dispatch vehicles first step, is also the most important step. Severalmonitoring ways are listed as followed: Manual Query, search once, search by time. Toachieve a vehicle automatic alarm, when the automobile is in an emergency, automatic alarm,to ensure that users grasp the vehicle alarm. To achieve a vehicle track playback, isconvenient for the user to reproduce the historical information, the vehicle before runningrecord. Limit vehicle speed, ensuring the driving safety. System has built a central database,to facilitate the management of vehicles. This paper describes all function in detail, datatransmission protocol form and central database design.This system as deployed in D-Partner service platform, in the Faw QiMing InformationTechnology Co. Improve the efficiency, accuracy. It has a high feedback from existing users.
