Leak detection technology is one of the important technologies for safety detection.It is widely applied to automobile industry,motorcycle industry,industries of gas appliance,medical instrument, aerospace,oil and gas pipeline and so on,in order to inspect the leakage from the object tested. Considering the shortcoming that only one object can be tested at a time by the troditional detectors and most of the modern detectors,a pressure-difference air-tightness detector for synchronous detection of multi-object is presented by the paper.Firstly,the background of the subject and the status of air-tightness detection technique studied at home and abroad are summarized by this paper.Both the definitions and methods for calculation of leakage and leakage rate are introduced later.Significanc-es of the stages within the process of pressure-difference detection are alse clearly showed.Secondly,the schemes of the overall design for the hardware platform is put forword.Both design and analysis on the key components of the hardware circuit in the overall design are made in detail.Simultaneously,the detecting gas path based on pressure-difference method which the system needs is designed as well and operating principle of the gas path is presented.Finally,Surroundings for software which consist embedded linux OS and Qt/E graphical interface libraries and others are established and the procedure of the configuration,setting,compiling,porting operation for the OS and Qt/E are provided.Aft-erwards,the paper designes the device drivers for matrix-keyboard and RS485multi-serial-port in detail. After establishng the surroundings,the paper makes an deep design and analysis on the application in the host-side(upper system of the detector)which based on the the mechanism of multi-thread and then the overall design and the modules design of the software system runing in the sample-sides(lower system of the detector)are introduced.Following design and implementation of the air-tightness detector,experiments are performed and the measured results are analysed and compared. The new type of detector developed not only has high detection precision as well as the ordinary pressure-difference air-tightness detector.but also has high detection efficiency.What’s more,it is more automatic and intelligent than average.At the end of this paper,both summary and prospect are given.
