Pipeline transportation has become the fifth transport model after of railway transport, road transport, air transport, sea transport. The safe operation of the pipeline is attention by the people more and more. Because the pipeline from corrosion and man-made drilling oil stolen, frequent oil spill, not only seriously disturbed the normal oil production, but also to the country caused huge economic losses. When the pipes leak, if we are able to detect and locate leaks to leak, it is of great significance. Therefore, the pipeline leak detection technology is particularly important.In this paper, the negative pressure wave method for pipeline leak detection and location of. The negative pressure wave based on the traditional method of leak detection using a single pressure sensor technology, as the technology vulnerable to interference conditions to adjust the impact of a higher false alarm rate. Through analysis and study, the single pressure sensor is improved, used dual pressure sensors. This method can effectively determine the direction of the pressure wave propagation and source, thereby excluding the impact of adjustment of working conditions, reduce the system false alarm rate. By analyzing the singularity of wavelet transform and signal the relationship between the pressure signals using the wavelet transform to detect singular points, which accurately determine the pressure wave down point. By actual test data, the leak detection system can rule out the stations affected by changes in working conditions can be accurately presented on the pipeline leak alarm and location information.
