| With the widespread usage of IT and networking techniques, as well as the PDF (Portable Document Format) file format, the publishing industry has entered into a new round of intelligent technology upgrade. This time, researchers try to adopt more intelligent methods into electronic publishing, including using workflow for the pre-pressing, printing, and post-pressing tasks. These endeavors finally lead to the digital workflow publishing management system (DWPMS). The project the author joined during at Founder(?) company, Founder ElecRoc(?) System, is one DWPMS.Founder ElecRoc(?) System is a C/S (Client-Server) based application, which is quite useful for many areas, such as commercial printing, packaging, and specialty printing etc. The main function modules include:Preflight module, trapping module, make-up and folding the hand function module, small page laser proof module, remote proofing and transmission module, operating statistics and the storage module, printing ink control module. The author is mainly responsible for the design and implementation of the trapping module and preflight module. These two modules are implemented using C++with the Microsoft Visual Studio2008as a tool. The author combined the latest digital workflow standards into the system, which could integrate the previous approach related to printing and processing rules with the new version.The author’s work there could be summarized as follows:(1) Analyzes the system requirements of the trapping module and preflight module。(2) Finishing the design and implementation of prefight module. Including the completion of the document, page content and page objects, images, color processing, font type, pre-flight rules (Preflight Rules) design; the implementation of function and the positioning of test results.(3) Finishing the design and implementation of the seven moduls of trapping module: Acrobat exchange module, the trapping area management module, trapping para management module, ink management module,PJTF module, the interaction module and trapping parameters of the internal processing module.(4) Finishing the test of trapping module and file preflight module.The system has been finished, used in real system. According to feedbacks, the modules the author is in charge of could satisfy the requirements derived from the requirement analysis. They are also more efficient than the old version, and further decreases the high production costs and low product quality. |
