In recent years, with the rapid ascension of the brain tumor incidence, the diagnosis and treatment based on the brain tumor image processing and visualizing technology has attracted more and more attention. In order to reach these demands, much attention has been placed on the research of brain tumor image processing and visualization, which would has great application and research value for the brain tumor treatment.In the thesis, based on the key technology of brain tumor, the denoising and enhancement algorithm, the improved segment algorithm and the three dimensional visualization of brain tumor image has been studied, which has been summarized as follows:1,In the thesis, the denoising algorithm of the medical image has been discussed. In order to solve the problem of mosaics in current medical image denoising, the exponent wavelet transformation has been used. By using this method, the noise has been greatly reduced and the edge information has been maintained. With the advantage of the fuzzy theory in medical image processing, the image enhancement algorithm research based on the fuzzy set theory has been performed. The fuzzy enhancement algorithm has also been proposed. It has been proved that the algorithm not only has good smoothness and flexibility, but also has fast speed and little computation.2,According to the development of the segment technology, the new theory of the fuzzy c-means algorithm has been used in brain tumor image processing. In the thesis the improved segment algorithm, based on the combination of morphology and edge detection, has been proposed. It has been proved that the segment result has been clear. In order to solve the over segment appeared in watershed algorithm, the improved algorithm has been presented. At last the geometric features of the brain tumor has been extracted.3,The MC algorithm has been proposed to improve the normal vector. In order to solve the ambiguity problem in MC algorithm, the corresponding algorithm has been presented. In the algorithm, the fast gradient and shading calculation method has been used. With the method, the rendering speed of traditional ray casting volume rendering algorithm has been greatly accelerated. The VTK has also been used to the brain tumor image solo display and the whole display of the brain.In the thesis, the brain tumor image processing visualization workbench has been developed. In the workbench all algorithms in the thesis have been contained, and the three dimension visualization has been realized, which can provide important basis for the diagnosis. It is also very convenient for the implementation of whole treatment and local observation of the brain tumor and surrounding tissues.
