The Research And Development Of EOSID Flight Procedure Experiencing Platform In Highland Airport

The training and the designing of the Engine-Out Standard Instrument Departure(EOSID) flight procedure in plateau regions, is recently of the main concern of domesticairlines and flight standard department of CAAC. Unlike the routine flight training equipment,there has no standard or special modeling system for EOSID training, which has to be onlyconducted in check-list way till now.Concerning the monotonous mean of EOSID training, the paper will give the solution-ahighland EOSID experiencing flight platform, which is developed based on Windows graphicinterface and PC hardware. The typical highland airport showing on the platform isLasa-Gonggar airport. The 3D models of the airport and other factors (building, tower, etc)will be built by SketchUP. All these static models will be shown on Google Earth by the useof KML language. In this process, the transformation of the coordinates is necessary.According to the theory of EOSID design, we use the Boeing Climb-Out program, a flightperformance software, to generate the required EOSID data. The data will be performed in3D-EOSID flight path by the integrated use of Google Earth COM API and interpolationalgorithm. Now the EOSID experiencing platform can be functional. The paper also givessome innovation to impulse the roaming effect, such as adding conical visual plane androaming in different angle and so on.In the developing process, the paper has got some innovation in technology andfunctional optimization.Such as:1)With the analyzation of BCOP and the developed function of flight data invertinginterface, the date has been visualizing performed in 3D plateau terrain;2)The platform basically developed in Google Earth environment, which is a newly yetpowerful tool for visualization. The application of this software in such way could be original;3)As the complex operational characteristics of highland airport, the paper made someimprovement, such as adding the virtue visual plane and roaming in different angle and so on.
