The precision-guided weapons are playing an important role in the modern wars. As one of the most important family members of these weapons, the cruise missile is famous for its perfect penetration and high accuracy. It plays the role of deterrence in recent hi-tech local wars and military conflicts, and catches the world's attention.The dissertation comes from the route planning and scene matching technologies of cruise missile. Due to the diversities and intricacies of the constraints and algorithms within them, Google Earth(GE) is taken full advantage of for its mass image resources and loose development space. Moreover, Multigen Creator 2.6\Vega Prime 1.2, satellite tool kit STK6.0, and open source computer vision function library OpenCV 1.0 are used in the integrated development environment of Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. The acquisition and combination of the data source based on GE are realized, the route planning visual platform is built fundamentally, the scene configuration and driver of the look-down scene matching are achieved, and the virtual remote sensing link is closed synchronously. The design and realization of this three-dimensional visual simulation system provide an intuitive practical foundation for the further research on route planning, scene matching guidance technology and virtual remote sensing. The dissertation consists of five parts as following:(1)The functions and the application methods of COM application program interfaces(APIs) and KML of GE are studied. And then, the imagery resources of specified location are obtained and archived. The controllable wandering and browsing on the GE platform, the acquisition and display of the geography coordinate of the track point are realized. To solve the discontiguous problem of the image data, an intelligent switch program is designed. It quits, restarts, reconnects with servers automatically, and gets images continuously every ten images;(2)The meanings and the composition of OpenFlight are introduced in detail. The models of the missile and the target are established manually with Multigen Creator 2.6. The background texture is generated automatically with OpenFlight API;(3) The initial configurations of the three-dimensional visual scene of the system are finished with GUI configuration tool and VSG APIs of Vega Prime 1.2. Furthermore, several functions such as the real-time control of environmental effects, channels, positions, attitudes, and the field of view are also accomplished. The driver of three-dimensional visual scene is realized through the research on the hybrid programming technology;(4) With the help of the OpenCV library, the image sequences from the GE platform are patched seamlessly and the real-time matching algorithms for look-down scene are investigated. In addition, the data of virtual remote sensing link are obtained by integrating with the satellite tool kit(STK) software and its Connect module.
