Batch control can product different products using recipe which contains a variety of information of controlled object. Batch control system had already been used in the 1920s and 1930s, but most operations in batch control were required to complete by manual for low level of automation. As a result, the product quality was poor even there were dangerous reaction. Later, with the development of the microprocessor and the improvement of the level of automation, automatic control system was used in the batch control system instead of manual operation which has a high error rate. Batch control system had a good development.This paper aims at the needs of industrial production equipments, which Non-ionic surface active agent device should have in a two-stage modification works. From this aspect, this paper introduces the purpose and significance of research, Nonionic Surfactant production conditions and preparation processes and applications. The paper is based on the ISA-88 that the standard of this project following. It points out the various models of batch control and the relationships between them in detail. According to the standard of batch control’s various models, this paper bases on the approach to solve the batch control of ISA-88 standard and the researching controlled object is the main reactor R5100. The paper analyses the control requirements and the research control programming of this project. Meanwhile, it also designs an effective batch control system. The final trend chart shows, this control scheme can effectively accomplish the control tasks, to achieve efficient and intelligent control.Siemens SIMATIC PCS7 is mainly used to achieve Totally Integrated Automation (TIA). In this paper, using PCS7, WinCC, Batch Center and other software, the requirements of Nonionic Surfactant Plant and batch control system control program is implemented.
