Servo drive mechanism is a control equipment that is widely used in the industrial and military fields. The testing of it’s performance and reliability is very important. In order to test the performance of themechanism, this thesis studies to design a set of motor test system including control function. In view of thestrong function and broad applications of Virtual Instrument, a test system based on LabWindows/CVI isdesigned in this thesis, combining with characteristics of servo drive mechanism.Generally, a test system designed with the virtual instrument technology always has a certain degree ofversatility, but any universal test system can not fit all test tasks. So we have to carry out specific researchesfor different test tasks. Starting with actual demand , for example, master-slave control and long-time testetc, this thesis carry out the research of a test system for the servo drive mechanism products, combiningwith design features of the virtual instrument. In this design, LabWindows/CVI selected as the softwaredevelopment platform, we propose a overall scheme as the core of developing software for some specialdemand and contents. VI user interface, test configuration function, DAQ function, calibrated function, thecontrol signal module and the long time test module are designed in this thesis. During the software design, some common functions are analyzed that include in the LabWindows/CVI library and DAQmx library, themeaning of some parameters are explained, and verified in the program. After complished, module debugand test experiments. This system can connect with USB devices to make a serial test that maintain 8 hours or longer, andthe result is reliable. In the course of using the software, the users evaluate highly of the interactiveinterface, hardware configuration function, curve interpretation function, and so on; Verified byexperiments, the system achieved the expected goals.
