As the Internet continues to grow and innovate, the disadvantages of its traditional architecture have produced more and more problems. A series of problems in routing scalability are caused by the user’s exponential growth, multhoming, traffic engineering, and the independence of service providers in various current applications. On the other hand, as the early host protocol stack is designed to meet the needs of communication, considering not too much the future applications, the host can not move so well supported. In traditional applications, the host IP address represents not only the location of topology in the Internet Communication,, but also the identity of session conversation. The dual functions of IP address leads to an increase in the routing table entries and fail to support host mobility efficiently. In addition, the network network security is also considered.According to the 863 research project "A novel based on the identity-location separation addressing and routing architecture ", this paper compares the current designs which support identity/location separation. This paper mainly focus on the following aspects:(1) Systematic comparison and analysis of the weakness in existing identity-location programs. This paper presents the existing schems and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of routing scalability’perf-ormance,including It also analyzes such aspects as routing table compression, security, and host mobile efficiency.(2) It presents a new Internet architecture, illustrates its overall frame-work and design, and analyzes those techniques required in detail.(3) It designs a new lightweighted host protocol stack. By analyzing the currebt issue of identity/location separation, this new host protocol stack is realized based on the mechanism of Netfilter. (4) We make a topology of the system in the test environment deployment testing, analyzing the routing scalability, host mobility, security, and other indicators. Statistics show that our design has good performance.
