With the arrival of Mobile Internet, more and more mobile equipments access the Internet in different ways to get network resources. Some high speed tools and communication equipments that moved in high speed composed the mobile network. Mobile network works a whole when it communicates with CNs it needs the support of the subnet mobility scheme. Therefore, the subnet mobility becomes the hot spots of current research. Host Identity Protocol (HIP) is a typical solution of the identity and location of separation technology. HI layer is introduced in HIP to realize the separation of identity and location, and the terminal mobility is supported in HIP. NEMOv6(Network Mobility) proposed by IETF is the main method to solve the subnet mobility. But combined with HIP, it will bring new functional entities and signaling interacitons, increasing the difficulty of deployment. At present, the subnet mobility in the HIP protocol is lack of perfect technical solution to support so it requires further research work.In the paper, firstly, we introduce the principle, the basic signaling process and the mobility support mechanism of HIP, analysis and comparision of the typical methods which support network mobility in HIP:HarMoNy and HIPNEMO, and summarizes the existing problems when they used in the subnets communication; Secondly, in order to reduce large updates in exsiting methods, a new method is proposed to support the mobility of subnetwork by introducing two-mapping and query mechanisms, and we use signaling overhead model to analysis the scheme’s good performance in the location update overhead, then give optimization methods in the scene of CNs are gathered; Thirdly, the scheme studied in this paper has been designed and realized on HIPsim mudule based on the OMNeT++ simulation environment, including key modules such as subnet detection module, replace information module and mapping query module etc and singnalng processes. Finally, we set some corresponding simulation testing scenes and test the function and performance of the scheme, make analysis of the test data, to check the practicability of the method and the improvement of the performance.
