Continued growth in energy consumption is one of the major problems facing the telecommunications companies. Because of the imperfect energy consumption monitoring system and the lack of energy management system, China Unicom can not fully understand the actual energy situation. There are selection and management issues of the implementation of energy-saving projects. In order to make better energy conservation issues and improve the energy consumption of China Unicom, the establishment and implementation of an energy management system is particularly important. After the learning of policies in energy consumption industry and the comparative analysis of similar systems, we know that energy management system includes two aspects, the data acquisition and energy analysis. The data acquisition mainly ensures data integrity of energy consumption, and the energy analysis focuses on energy query analysis, energy saving project management, and energy consumption management. The system is implemented with a three-level structure. The data acquisition unit achieves field energy consumption data collection, the regional control center achieves distributed data collection, and the data analysis center focuses on energy analysis.The system is designed based on the existing monitoring system for dynamic power and environment. It builds a comprehensive energy monitoring system for China Unicom to provide energy conservation technical support. The system uses a distributed network and has better scalability and compatibility. In future we will strengthen the integration with existing system and improve overall system performance.
