In the medical care system, body temperature, blood pressure and pulse are the most important and basic three physiological parameters of the vital signs. How to monitor these parameters automatically and accurately and transmit the result has become a research focus. Given that the embedded system is small, powerful, low cost, smart phones is growing more popular, and Internet becomes high-speed developed, we introduce the concept of Internet of Things into medical care system, and propose’eHealthCare’system with health mate.The topic of this thesis is of far-reaching significance. As China’s rapid economic development, people’s living standard has greatly improved, however, the economic development makes the competition even more intense, accelerates the pace of life greatly and causes the pressure ever-increasing. People have little time to pay attention to their health. As a consequence, their health status continues declines, and their body begins to appear a variety of problems, which is particularly evident in large cities. People began to grow more health concerns, hopes to understand their own physical condition more conveniently, and also the medical workers want an easy way to obtain the patient’s physiological parameters for the timely observation of the patient’s health status change. Therefore, developed a medical care system that can be automatically and accurately complete the monitoring of physiological parameters, and can send data to a remote medical information system to enable health workers to obtain first-hand information is very significant.The’eHealthCare’system using the new concept of Internet of Things connects portable medical equipment, mobile phone and health information systems together, and makes portable medical equipment wireless, networking and remote connected.Health mate is a portable home-based medical devices based on embedded system. Before the design of health mate, I research various types of medical testing equipment; design a new health mate to make up the shortcomings of them. Health mate includes multi-parameter measurement, LCD display, and Bluetooth wireless transmission; in addition, it has the feature of small size, low power consumption, low cost, high security and so on.To achieve the above functions, the system uses a high-performance AVR microcontroller to control and regulate the measurement process; Using pressure sensor MPX2050GP of Freescale Semiconductor to acquire blood pressure signal, and using digital temperature sensor DS18B20 produced by DALLAS Semiconductor to acquire temperature signals; Using the composition of AD620 as the DC amplifier and OPA277 as the band-pass filter to extract signal; Using microcontrollers integrated 10-bit successive approximation analog-to-digital convertor convert the acquired data; All the data can be automatically displayed on the LCD screen; System also has Bluetooth module to ensure the wireless data transmission function.In the end of the thesis, the study and design of the system are summarized. And I also make some suggestions on how to improve the system and the next step of this research, which I think will have great significance in the future of medical monitoring equipment.
