The identity of the real object is the basis for information collection in internet of things (IoT). However, there are so many current standards for the object identification in IoT, and they are far from uniform. It is the situation of non-uniform identification that makes the objects difficult to share information among various industries, areas and countries, and then the IoT was divided into many small IoTs. Diversity of standards which the object identification rely on, leads to incompatible and even conflicting for identification. So it is difficult to share information in a wide range, or realize open-loop applications. Besides, the diversity of standards makes the identification management and application becoming complex. Realizing the compatibility among variety object identification become a trend, and establishment of a unified object identification system as well. Europe, Japan and South Korea have been studying on them, and China has also started research on these issues.This paper starts with the standard system of IoT, and selects the international mainstream EPCglobal RFID standard system and domestic industry RFID standards which have been implemented as the main research object. In the first place, the paper analysis the IoT identification for finding out the metadata of identification, then builds the IoT identification metadata package models. Secondly, based on the metadata package models finding out the mapping between standards, and proposing it is compatible from domestic industry IoT identification to international IoT identification, then building the IoT identification compatible model (IICMD). Finally, this paper designs an identification IoT compatible mechanism (IICMC), which includes identification recognition, identity mapping and identification conversion. IICMC designs to mapping and transformation domestic industry identification to the EPCglobal identification automatically, while preserving the integrity of additional information. In addition, this article forecasts the standardization for the IoT.
