Research On Identification Authentication In The Internet Of Things Environment

ABSTRACT:Internet of Things is a kind of expansion and extension of internet in function. It is also the deepening and development of social information. Internet of Things has a profound development on information technology and related professional and technical basis. It has strong social needs. Internet of Things will be widely used in industry, agriculture, health, environmental protection, disaster prevention and relief, security, aerospace, and military areas. But more and more widely used in every aspect of things put forward higher requirements on its transmission of data and information security. Authentication is an important issue in network security. It is the first barrier in security system and plays a very important role in the Internet of Things.In this paper, after a detailed analysis about the security requirements of the logical layer in the Internet of Things, we make a study on two common sense approaches, which is RFID systems and wireless sensor networks (WSN), and focus on authentication of these two approaches.Considering the differences between the Internet of Things and Internet, we propose two kind of authentication for RFID and WSN. These two methods are efficient, practical, low cost and easy to implement in addition to be safe. Finally we conduct a simulation using OPNET software programs to prove their safety and effectiveness.Simulation results show that the proposed authentication models are able to realize the identity authentication. And the authentications of RFID system and wireless sensor networks achieve the requirements we need in the environment of Internet of Things. Overall they are effective authentication methods.
