With development of science and technology, computer technology and computer network have penetrated into variety of industries, so reducing production costs, improving product quality, getting market with less time become the inevitable trend of the development of processing and manufacturing. Yet the virtual manufacturing is a bridge between the machinery and information systems, it’s the product which sets of manufacturing technology. CNC theory,computer-aided design and manufacturing,modeling and simulation technology in one, combined with production technology and modern science technology. Virtual CNC simulation which is a new field and one of support technical of virtual manufacturing, takes an important place in today’s manufacturing industry.NC milling simulation system based on OpenGL MFC and mapping model algorithm is introduced. In the system, the prototype is FV-800A produced by Hangzhou friends of the best machine tool factory, taking visual C++6.0as development platform, with resistive touch screen for the interactive devices. CNC Machining center with mapping model algorithm achieves the combination of the machine and control panel and overcomes the problem that simulation environment does not have enough reality, which is-created by current NC milling simulation system making CNC machine control panel as a single window separated from machine tool. The combination of virtual and reality and the operation panel layout which is the same as real machine tool make operator have realistic feelings. More advanced milling algorithms are introduced, these algorithms save memory space which is created by infinite discrete rough, with real-time input or the external NC code driving processes. The parameters milling simulations of flat, straight line groove, broken line groove are achieved, by creating a tool Library which meets the needs of different parts processing. And the system has good real-time, interactive, scalability, and three-dimensional graphics display, which can verify the correctness of process intuitively and effectively. Reducing the computational of computer background, while achieving a graphical display of continuity, and the experiments shows the simulation results are satisfactorv.
