With the opening and operation of Zhengzhou-Xi’an, Wuhan-Guangzhou passenger line, a new stage for high-speed railway development is coming in china. For avoiding unfocused investment, much more testing and evaluation is needed on the high-speed rail line capacity, control effectiveness and performance as well as economic and social benefits at the same time. Obviously, it is not feasible to study the characteristics of the running high-speed train group with actual line experiments comprehensively. However, this problem is not a question any more and it can be solved with computer simulation technology. According to the achievements on simulation of train operation, a platform for studying on high-speed railway transport research theory and method is constructed based on computer simulation technology. Meanwhile, it is of important theoretical and practical values for studying simulation technology of train operation and optimization theory of train control systematically.In this paper, based on previous work and experiences both home and abroad, operation simulation system of high-speed train group is studied deeply with the example of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed. Firstly, the previous study on the train operation simulation system is introduced as well as the current status and practical significance, the basics of computing-related mechanics are described; Secondly, the simulation research was carried on about the trains running operation in range and station respectively. The simulation model of a single running train is constructed. Considering the mutual restrict relationship between high-speed trains groups and the control strategy of the train operation, the simulation models of multi-train tracking and operating was obtained. Furthermore, the requisitions were analyzed such as system functions, data and performance etc. Based on the preparatory work, the overall design of the system and detailed design of the key subsystems were presented. By use of Visual C++6.0on Windows XP platform, the functions of the sub systems and modules were realized with the ODBC technology and SQL Server2003database management program.Finally, based on the evaluation on simulation results,The test results verified the basic theory can be to achieve, and the system is stable.
