The railway is an enormous and complex transportation enterprise. Whenever a new constructed railway or a complex railway net is to be operated, a great deal of data should be analyzed and the train operation graph designed for them must be verified. One hand, a train group operation simulation system can supply scientific decision-makings for train operation organization and regulation. On the other hand, the train group operation simulation system designed for solving practical problems provides effective experimental environment for the analysis of the intelligent hybrid system modeling and theory, which is important for the research of dealing with the knowledge, experience , strategy and other uncertain problems coming of expert in the intelligent hybrid system.In order to satisfy the requirements of the railway transportation heading for the intelligence, we research the modeling method of agent-based G-Net, construct the model of train group operation based on it, analyze the conception and realization techniques of the model and give the structures and cooperative relations of the main agents. Then, we construct the three-dimension train group operation simulation system according to the agent-based G-Net train group operation model. Considering the disadvantages of the developed two-dimension train operation simulation system such as abstract interface, difficultly understood and unable to trace the main body of the system real time, we make use of the virtual reality technique and import the OpenGL graphic library to create the three-dimension scene where the trains operate and display the various states of trains operation. Last, the result of the experiments and the analyses of the efficiency ,security and the communication ability of the agents of the system demonstrate the effectivity of the system.Compared with the existed model of Train Group Operation System with Object-oriented Petri Subnet (TGOSOPS), the intelligence of the system is emphasized on many layers; compared with the model of Train Operation Petri Net with Agents (TOPNA), we further improve the characteristics of synchronization and asynchrony among the agents, divide the agents more definitely and give prominence to the intelligent characteristics of the principal parts of railway intelligent transportation system: trains and stations; Because the model has such characteristics as owning clear structure, fine extensibility and designing distributed program easily, the simulation system can be designed more reliably and effectively.Because the system complete adopts such principles that the models, railway net data and trains operation graph are separate with each other, it is quite universal and can be applied to any railway areas and transportation simulation evaluation in our country. So the system provides prescient schemes and conclusions for the railway construction and practical operation.
