With the great improvement of the social productive forces and the rapid development of science and technology, especially computer technology, communications technology, network technology, control technology, continuously improve, spurred on the home life more and more to the intelligent, comfortable security in the direction of development. Smart home concept in this context of shape. Namely the use of computer technology, network communication technology, integrated wiring technology, and home life a variety of subsystems organic combination of system management, home life become more livable and comfortable. Compared with the ordinary home, smart home is not only the traditional function of living, provide a comfortable, safe, high quality family living space, but also from passive static structure into a dynamic wisdom tool, providing a full range of interactive features to help families maintain the smooth exchange of information with the outside, to optimize the way people live.Linux-based embedded system hardware platform as the Control Center (CMU) in order to realize the unified management of the smart home system and wireless transmission function, introduced within the family network ZigBee technology, the progressive realization of the network transmission cable to the wireless transformation. On the basis of in-depth study and analysis of smart home development status and related technologies, the overall structure of the smart home system. The structure around the CMU module and ZigBee modules of these two subsystems to carry out a detailed analysis and design of the hardware and software.Structural arrangements in the first chapter first presented the subject development background and significance, and describes the status of the development of intelligent network home system at home and abroad, and the paper work of various sections of an overall grasp. The second chapter briefly describes the wireless sensor network characteristics and structural characteristics of ZigBee technology, equipment, components, and a brief description of network topology, routing protocols, carried out a detailed study of the layers of the protocol stack and the stack structure and function;through the analysis of network structure and system application environment, wireless sensor network of functional requirements, design the overall framework of the model;third chapter describes the linkages between the core part of the thesis, CMU and ZigBee wireless network, and the whole system of planning to do the detailed design.Tightly around the functional requirements in the detailed design, based on the overall design of the system, chapters4and5a detailed study of the main module.
