This thesis is based on the research of Science and Technology Development Plan ofJilin province (No.20096004) and FAW Group Science and Technology Innovation Project(No.093715). The thesis intensively investigates the rapid parametric modeling method andprocess of frontal body components. The function is verified by comparing with the scalingbody structure.This thesis is centering on the rapid parametric modeling method of frontal bodycomponents based on Altair HyperWorks. At first, the secondary development toolsinvolving and development flow are introduced briefly; and then the core content of thisthesis-the rapid parametric modeling method of frontal body components are discussed indetail. the main energy absorption structures of frontal body include: bumper beam、crashbox、frontal rail and welding plate. In order to implement parametric modeling rapidly, theprocess of the rapid parametric modeling method is determined. Because they have greatdifferences, the rapid parametric modeling methods of bumper beam、crash box、frontalrail and welding plate are explained respectively aiming at these characteristics.Furthermore,,the difficulties during the development process are also discussed.Based on the parametric modeling method,the frontal body components are rapidlymodeled with the corresponding dimension of the scaling body structure just by inputting thekey geometric parameters. And then assigning material property, connecting mode, meshgeneration are completed. Impact simulation analysis is carried out with LS-DYNA incorresponding condition such as deformation analysis, stress analysis, and energy variationanalysis.Combining with the frontal impact of the complete vehicle of a A-grade car indevelopment stage, the contrastive analysis of geometrical accuracy is made between thedetail model and the parametric model of Frontal Body Components. Then the deformationhistory of the detail model of frontal body components in the complete vehicle is analyzed. Finally, the feasibility、the accuracy and the validity of the parametric modeling methodbased on this thesis are verified by the simulation and example comparison.
