With the competition increasingly fierce in the telecommunication industry, the nextgeneration network base on soft switch has wide using and developing prospect. This subjectis based on this background. Considering the character of Jilin NGN network, update theNGN network of Jilin city, lay out a solution, that connect Huawei NGN and ZTX NGN. Sothat telecommunication network and internet network can be integrated. The networkutilization is improved, the advantage of NGN is exerted, at last the telecommunicationcompany’s operating cost is saved.This paper mainly completed the following four aspects:First, digging into the domestic and overseas status of NGN network. According to thecharacteristics of Jilin NGN network, priority analyses the structural principles and relatednetwork elements’ operating principle. It provides the theoretical basis of the integration ofZTE and Huawei NGN network.Second, overall analysis the problems of ZTE and Huawei NGN network show, have ain-depth discussion on the topology structure of the original NGN network. And details thefunction and networking protocol of four layers which is business layer, control layer,support layer and access layer. Determine the updating solution of original NGN networkbase on the research. The solution follows the rules, that simplifying the network, improvingsecurity and providing new business growth points.Third, considering reducing the complexity of network, improving the systemmaintainability, improving the tolerant ability of the carrying network and the need for theconnection of the two carrying network, it lays out a new solution of reforming the NGNnetwork. The solution has a design of redundant topology structure, determines the updatingnetwork plan, that need3step. At last, Updates the NGN network according to the plan, andthe construction was very successful.The last, according to the updating plan, determines the testing plan. The tests containhot swap test on redundancy backup equipment, the carrying properties tests and redundancysafety tests. From result of the hot swap test, switching success ratio is100%, switchingpacket loss is almost0, the average time of switching time is less than6minute. From thecarrying properties, the network average delay is less than15ms between different agency,the network jitter is all less than4ms, network loss ratio is less than0.04%. The network does a excellent work. In addition, from the redundancy security, the pc in different agencycan rebuild the connection. It tells us the route switches regularly.From the result of the tests, the NGN network updating solution can connect thecommunication network and internet network. It realizes the twi-network integration. Thesolution also lay a firm foundations for the business transformation of the company, providea good platform for tri-networks integration in future, provide the users good onlineexperience and network service.
