IN (Intelligent Network) technology provides a running module for voice forwarding by dividing service information and control information. Many value added services are provided on IN, such as 800 Service, Billing Card, Grade Searching. Some problems however are concerned by operators, such as, service developing and operation is in a close environment; SCP based on convergence control; services binding with certain bear network; low capability on customization; all these facts obstruct the development of value added services. Meanwhile, it is a common understanding that openness, distribution and integration will be the main characteristics in Next Generation Networks (NGN). NGN will deeply change the concepts and architecture of traditional telecom network, and soft switch is the extension of the voice network in NGN systems.Trial networks based on Softswitch technology are being built by telecom operators in recent years. Some of them even built the backbone in nation-level, and services are deployed on application layer step by step. This thesis researches the protocols and network system of Softswitch network firstly; and analyzes the Softswitch network deployment project of Shan Dong CNC in detail; a methodology of this project is provided at last.The thesis inculdes 5 chapters, NGN system structure is stated in first chapter Soft-switch system and protocols are introduced in second chapter. The third chapter analyzes the SIP, calling process and inter-contact process in detail. The deployment scheme of Shan Dong CNC and methodology of Softswitch are provided respectively in chapter 4 and 5....
