With the development of communication technology, especially in recent yearswhen the Internet of Things technology proposed, as one of the key technologies forthe Internet of Things, wireless sensor networks has ushered in new opportunitiesand challenges. Wireless sensor networks based on the IEEE802.15.4with itslow-power, low-cost, distributed and self-organization advantages, has beensuccessfully applied to various fields, Such as health care, environmental health,industrial management and so on. Achieving integration of wireless sensor networks,which is based on the IEEE802.15.4, and IPv6technology, has become the trend ofthe times. This integration technology has important academic significance andcommercial value. only to achieve the underlying IP-based networks can really mean“material objects connected”. At present, reserch for the integration of wirelesssensor networks and IPv6technology in our country is still in its infancy comparedwith globe. Related research has only gotten a little bit small achievement on theintegration model, the architecture and key technologies.6LoWPANs is a successfulsolution to interconnect wireless sensor networks based on the IEEE802.15.4withIPv6technology. Since6LoWPANs is an emerging network technology, theoreticalresearch is still in its infancy and the solution still has some defects on technicaldetails and realization ability. Therefore, the paper focused on6LoWPANs routingenergy-saving algorithm and routing addressing scheme.Routing technology is the supporting technology of communication between thewireless network nodes. Routing method is directly related to the construction andperformance of the networks based on IPv6, and it has become a key problem to besolved in the research and development of wireless network communications.6LoWPANs networks have the characteristics of large-scale, diverse nodes, thecomplexity of the influence, so the establishment of energy efficient routingalgorithm and routing addressing strategy are the key technologies in the reserch ofwireless sensor networks based on IPv6.In this paper, firstly, the paper made a deep study on IPv6addressautoconfiguration strategy and analysed its applicability in6LoWPANs networks.This paper found that the stateless autoconfiguration of IPv6addressing is moresuitable for wireless sensor networks based on IPv6than stateful autoconfiguration, but the duplicate address detection method will bring a lot of network energyconsumption,which is overload for energy limited6LoWPANs wireless sensornetworks. So it’s necessary to establish a low-cost6LoWPANs addressautoconfiguration scheme. This paper proposed an addressing scheme on the basis ofIPv6stateless autoconfiguration addressing strategy and combined it with6LoWPANs hierarchical addressing autoconfiguration scheme. This addressingautoconfiguration scheme implemented the duplicate address detection only withinthe scope of cluster and solved the technical difficulties of6LoWPANs addressing.Secondly, considering the characteristics of6LoWPANs networks andrequirements of routing, this paper analyzed the shortcomings and advantages of6LoWPANs routing draft. Then, this paper made a functional division of nodes inthe network by using the minimum routing threshold in order to balance the nodeenergy consumption in different depths; and with the help of a neighbor table, thispaper improved the datagram forwarding strategy to reduce the number ofunnecessary forwarding. At the same time, this paper chose a replacement node foreach routing node, this method not only can prevent the generation of failure nodesin the network, but also can recover the child nodes connecting to the network whentheir parent nodes leave the network as the energy depletion.
